Cafe Sketch Week 04 Homework Clothed Figures in Motion 021414
This week we had to draw 50 clothed figures wearing loose clothing and in motion. It took a bit to find good reference, but I eventually stumbled across some channels on YouTube that had really nice videos of dancers in various loose dresses and long skirts. After I was all done, I played around with my new Copic marker and put some quick shading on my favorites for fun.

These are really good gestures. The shading really adds to it in a nice way as well as the line thickness. It really feels elegant and fluid. I would just say the only thing taking away from it is the blue around the forms from the photoshoping. I seem to have a hard time with that too.
ReplyDeleteI like these a lot. Did you add the tones of gray in during class or after? They have a very cartoony/comical style which I think is great.
